A complex algorithm is used to determine every team's ladder rank each week. Ladder rankings are calculated after each match based on scores, and the ladder rank of the teams playing each other. Every team's ladder rank is influenced by the up and down ladder rank of other teams. Whenever possible, the algorithmic matchup is used to schedule teams. However, for a better league experience, sometimes teams are shifted to avoid playing duplicate opponents. If a team has been shifted in the schedule to play a different opponent, the team retains its actual ladder rank even though the team might not be playing in the normal ladder order. This page displays statistics regarding algorithmic and non-algorithmic matches.
