A complex algorithm determines ladder rank each week, calculated on match scores, the ladder rank of the teams playing, and by the match outcomes of other teams on the ladder. Whenever possible, the algorithmic matchup determines the match schedules. However, for a better experience, teams might be shifted to avoid playing duplicate opponents. Team that are shifted out of the algorithmic ladder order to avoid playing duplicate matches retain the actual ladder rank even though the team might not be playing in the normal ladder order.

This page displays statistics regarding algorithmic and non-algorithmic matches. A full explanation of how the ladder works is available here.
